My name is Josie Smoot and I am a freelance illustrator and painter who lives in Tennessee. My work shows my love for character design and the never-ending limits of the creative mind. I paint the figure realistically with a illustrative twist, such as enlarging the eyes or drawing in a more graphic style. What I enjoy most in art is the process of sketching out a piece, creating a definite shape with line art, and adding colors and small details to produce a complete illustration. I mostly use watercolors, gouache, and just the simple pen and ink to express my imagination and bring my characters to life.
